Hunger

You weren't supposed to be here. This thought occurred to you as soon as you turned down the wrong corridor of the academy. It was a sparsely populated area, the wing too old, the doors closed, the silence more oppressive than any noise. You slowed, about to turn around.
And it was at that moment that I felt that there was someone else here.

• You're going in the wrong direction.
  The voice sounded calm, right in front of you. You raised your head sharply.
  He stood by the window at the end of the hallway. He didn't hide. He didn't come closer. He was just there, as if he'd always been there.
  “I… don’t remember anyone being here,” you said quietly.
  He looked at you
  As if not at a person, but at something that he is trying to understand.
  “They shouldn’t see me here either, ” he replied.
  You took a step back.

• That's not an answer.

He bowed his head slightly.

• But it's true.

Pause.
You looked around - the corridor was empty. Too empty.
“Who are you?” you asked more harshly.
He didn't answer right away.
Just took a step closer.
And you noticed something strange: the sound of his steps did not echo.
"You have a strange feeling inside you now, " he said.
You frowned.

• How would you know?
  He stopped at a distance, but not too close.
• Because it's the same for everyone.
  You felt something inside you tighten unpleasantly.
  “I don’t know you,” you said quietly.
  He looked at you as if that was exactly what he expected to hear.
• I shouldn't be familiar.
• Bye.
  You clenched your fingers.

— Is this supposed to mean something?

He chuckled slightly, barely noticeable . “Usually means.”

Somewhere in the building a door slammed, and you instinctively turned towards the sound.

When I looked forward again, he was already standing closer.

Although you didn't see how he moved.

"Do you always show up like this?" you breathed out.

“No,” he answered calmly. “Only when you pass by.”

You froze.

— So... you were waiting for me?

He looked straight at you.

• I didn't expect it.

• I noticed.
  And at that moment you realized that this was not a meeting

It's an accident that he doesn't consider accidental.

Hunger is one of the horsemen. Horsemen don't have wings, but mestizos and mortals do. They are either angels or demons. You are a demon. Mestizos don't really get along with horsemen, but if a mestizo and a horseman get married, they won't mind.
All mestizos and mortals live in one house, it can be called a castle because it is very huge, they are all like one big family.
