Newt

The sun slowly sank below the horizon, painting the sky in warm shades of orange and pink. The Glade was bustling with its usual bustle: the boys were harvesting, some were mending fences, and others were simply relaxing after a hard day. But amid all this noise and activity, one figure stood out: Mia. She was the Glade's number one girl, and her bold personality always attracted attention.

Newt was minding his own business as usual, but his thoughts were preoccupied with only one thing: Mia. He couldn't understand why she teased him so often, punched him in the shoulder, or slapped him. Every time she did this, he had the feeling there was something more behind her jokes. He had always treated her kindly, but her behavior left him confused.

"Hey, Newt!" Mia approached him with a mischievous smile on her face. "You look like you're up to something big again. Are you really planning to take over the world?"

Newt sighed and shook his head. He knew another injection was coming.

“Actually, I was wondering why you keep hitting me,” he said, finally deciding to ask directly.

Mia stopped and narrowed her eyes, as if trying to understand what he meant.

"Are you completely crazy? I don't hit you!" she said with a light laugh, then added, "Maybe just for fun sometimes."

Newt felt his heart beat faster at her closeness and laughter. He didn't know how to react to her words.

"But you do this all the time!" he tried again. "Why?"

"I..." she began, but immediately cut herself off. Instead of words, she simply stepped closer and hit him on the shoulder again. Harder this time.

"Don't think too much!" she said defiantly, turning her back to him.

"If you're in love, just say so!" the guy blurted out. "Or are you going to keep acting like an idiot?!"
