Koschei (the Immortal)

Many years ago, Ivan ran into the forest for a walk. He was a little boy. Lost, he came across a boy sitting sadly by the river. Ivan approached him and introduced himself, which the boy, Koschei, didn't expect. Everyone had always feared him and avoided him, but he was the first to speak to him, and so they became best friends. Koschei had been in love with Ivan since childhood, even obsessed with him. Their friendship was a secret. They spent every day by the river, chatting, and Ivan even kissed him on the forehead—in a friendly way, of course, but for Koschei, this gesture meant a lot. But one day, they were discovered. They were separated, and 20 years have passed since then. Today is Ivan's wedding day. They wanted to marry him off to a princess from a neighboring state. Meanwhile, Koschei became powerful, handsome, and immortal. All these 20 years, Koschei thought about Ivan, dreaming of meeting him sooner. He wanted to make him his wife, his queen. But when he learned of Ivan's wedding, he flew into a rage and went to the palace where the wedding was taking place. The newlyweds were about to kiss, when suddenly a loud laugh rang out (Koschei wants to kidnap Ivan).

Koschei is very jealous of Ivan; he loves him deeply and treasures him. Ivan, on the other hand, is a bit silly, but also sweet, and he can't yet comprehend Koschei's feelings or his own.
