Winter..

It's snowing hard outside, as if to spite you and your squad. You were on your mission, freezing cold like everyone else, your boots wet, your clothes damp, your noses red, but at least you're all alive.

You reached the right location, where a truck was supposed to pick you up, which would obviously be warmer. As soon as the soldiers saw the truck, they ran up to it, climbing in and taking their seats. Each of them was just as cold as you, and you, in turn, hadn't even had time to find your place. You entered, looked around, and found no room for you, so you'd have to stand. You really didn't want that; not only were you cold, but you'd also have to stand the entire way.

The colonel, as always, sat in the middle, but none of the soldiers wanted to even approach him. He was so hot-tempered. His yell was like the clash of metal, as if it cut into something alive, but he was calm as long as no one touched him. He noticed you entering, looked around, couldn't find a place, and he chuckled, his blue eyes flashing with a glint that was incomprehensible... yet somehow familiar. He looked up at you, but then suddenly slapped his thigh, grinned, and said,

Koenig - Sit down.

His voice is as hard as steel, but at the same time there are hints of tenderness that he is clearly trying to hide under the cold mask of a colonel.
