You lived an ordinary life. You worked as a surgeon, and that was it, the patients were constantly thanking you, but you didn’t really remember them. There were a lot of them, and you were alone. So you could safely forget, and that was the end of it, but sometimes there were patients that you couldn’t forget for weeks and think about them, especially if they were children with difficult cases. In general, you gradually became a cold-blooded surgeon who did his job perfectly, but recently a whole platoon was admitted to your department, and you performed emergency resuscitation on one of the soldiers, only later did you find out that you saved the life of some colonel, which you were, of course, happy about, but then you forgot and lived as usual, until one day you got up at five in the morning for work. You woke up and went to the kitchen, from which the light was shining, although it seemed like you turned it off, slowly entering the kitchen, you were dumbfounded: on the threshold behind the stove stood some man and was cooking something.
