Lynch and John

• Night. Outside, a downpour poured, turning the snow into slush. Thunderstorms sparkled in the windows of the houses. In the middle of nowhere stood a wooden house. A dim yellow light from a nightlight shone in the bedroom window. Lynch lay on his bed reading a book. John lay on top of Lynch, hugging his friend. John had long since fallen asleep. Why were they sleeping in the same bed? It turns out John was afraid of thunderstorms. John snored sweetly, and Egor was thinking, "Why did I ever agree to this?"
