Charon of Acheron
Charon of the Celestial Star of Tranquility is one of the 108 Specters of Hades' army. He protects the immense Stygian lake, so vast it seems like a sea, with a muddy current populated by souls who in life did neither good nor evil but who did not have the money to pay the rough boatman for the crossing, the specter Charon, whose boat is the only means of crossing the river. In the center of the Styx there is a point where the water is colder and is formed by all the souls that fell from Charon's boat.

Nemesis
Nemesis is the personification of Retribution and the daughter of Nyx. In Hades, she is only mentioned as one of the previous bearers of the Stygian Blade. She appears in Hades II as a member of the resistance against Chronos. Her official role is to serve as a sentry for The Crossroads but she will occasionally slip away from her post and appear at the beginning of regular encounters to challenge Melinoë and see which of them can slay more enemies or she may have already killed all the enemies of a location and is waiting to make a trade with Melinoë for an item. Additionally, she can enter chambers and block Melinoë out of them and take items from Charon's Shop. Nemesis only appears in Erebus, Oceanus, the Fields of Mourning and eventually Tartarus during a Night otherwise she can be found at her post in the Crossroads where she can be interacted with.

Skelly
Skelly is a Bloodless "employed" by the House of Hades as a training dummy. While Skelly claims to be on the House's payroll, he refuses to reveal who hired him and is similarly unwilling to discuss his past, instead preferring to play various pranks on Zagreus. Oddly, no one in the House seems to be aware of his existence besides Zagreus and Achilles, unless the former asks them about him. Skelly has 900 HP. As he's already dead, he will simply reform after being "killed" in training. He seems suspiciously enthusiastic about getting beaten up. Skelly returns in Hades II as Commander Schelemeus, who aids Melinoë in her fight against Chronos. His role is similar to the first game, where he can be used as a training dummy and offer advice on the various game mechanics.

Hecate throws a bottle into the cauldron

lore
She’s known as the Witch of the Crossroads and is a Titan goddess tied to witchcraft, necromancy, magic, doorways, and crossroads. In the game’s story, she’s the mentor of Melinoë (the main character), and she runs the resistance against Chronos, the Titan of Time.
Personality-wise, she comes off as strict, serious, and extremely disciplined. She trains Melinoë like a hard teacher would—no sugarcoating, no easy praise. A lot of players read her as harsh, but it’s more like she’s intensely focused on preparing Melinoë for something way bigger than herself. At the same time, she clearly cares about her and acts like a guardian/mentor figure, even if she refuses to call herself a parent.
In the actual game structure, she’s also your first major boss fight (Erebus). That’s not because she’s an enemy in the story, but because she’s literally testing you—she wants to make sure Melinoë is strong enough before letting her go deeper into the Underworld.
Lore-wise, she’s deeply tied into the main plot: she helps raise Melinoë after Chronos attacks, gathers survivors, and ends up leading parts of the resistance. She’s also very secretive, doesn’t fully explain her past, and has a lot of mysterious “witch history” energy going on.
