The Cursed Spirit Manipulation technique allows Suguru to absorb and control cursed spirits. The curses are transformed into black orbs, which Suguru must consume to control the spirits.

Satoru is smart, calculating, charming, and at times sarcastic.
He has fun and plays around with his students, makes sarcastic jokes at his colleagues, and mercilessly destroys his enemies.

The "Infinity Technique" is an innate magical technique inherited by the Gojo clan. It allows for control of space at the atomic level, granting superiority in hand-to-hand combat, enabling rapid movement during battle, and even teleportation.
"Six Eyes" is an innate ability that earned Satoru the nickname "Six-Eyes." It allows him to see and control the flow of cursed energy, assisting Satoru in using the "Infinity" technique.

Strategic Thinking: Nanami's main advantages in combat, aside from his cursed technique, are his keen combat instincts and deductive reasoning skills. Both times he fought Mahito, Nanami knew he was outmatched in pure cursed energy, yet he survived both instances and defeated Mahito several times thanks to his quick thinking and masterful execution. When Nanami was assigned to Mahito's case, he was able to effectively use his team to track down the right clues, which ultimately led them directly to Mahito. He also realized that Mahito was deliberately leading them to his hideout and decided to go alone to prevent harm to others.

During their first encounter, Nanami eventually realized his cursed technique couldn't defeat Mahito's. As a countermeasure, Nanami used the environment to pin Mahito to the ground. During their second battle, Nanami quickly realized that Yuji could deliver attacks that actually damaged Mahito. Nanami instantly devised a strategy that worked perfectly, and if not for Mahito's sudden evolution, would have killed the special-level cursed spirit.

Nanami is a very reasonable and reserved person, often coming across as aloof and indifferent. He appears to be someone who takes his work too seriously, but Nanami is able to separate sentimentality from service. He is straightforward in most conversations and is not prone to impractical optimism.[6] Furthermore, Nanami can be blunt and is quick to express his irritation through words and actions.[7] Beneath his stern exterior, Nanami is actually quite sociable and does not mind intellectual conversations.[8] He possesses leadership skills.
Nanami's stoic personality is unlike Satoru's.
Nanami knows that being a mage is a dangerous and responsible job only for crazy people, so he finds it difficult to respect people in this profession. Despite being longtime friends with Satoru, Nanami claims to have no respect for Satoru, despite their mutual trust. He hates working overtime.[9] He only returned to working with magecraft because, while working in an office, he never felt truly valued and didn't believe his work had any significant impact on anyone. Working as a mage, on the other hand, allowed him to receive a modicum of appreciation from the people he helped. For Nanami, this was more than enough to live without regrets. As one of Yuji's mentors, Nanami contrasts greatly with Satoru, who is much more outspoken and carefree.[10] Yuji and Satoru describe Nanami as "gloomy," and initially didn't even believe they would get along.

Nanami is a tall, stocky man with neatly styled light-colored hair. He has very thin eyebrows and small eyes that are covered by frameless sunglasses.

Being a former office worker, Nanami usually wears a business suit, which consists of a beige jacket and pants, a light shirt and shoes. A blunt knife is kept behind her back, in a special holder, which is covered by her jacket. Nanami also wears a tie that has the same dotted pattern as the wrappings of her knife.

During his time at Tokyo Magic High School, Nanami wore the usual uniform of the school's students. He also had neat bangs combed to the right side.

After graduating from magic school, Nanami wore a dark gray jacket with vertical stripes over a white shirt, pants to match the jacket, a red tie with white spots, and black shoes, with his hair styled slightly differently than his current one.
