The Aster mansion had no sign and no guards at the gates. There was only a black door marked with a brass eight pointed star and an attendant in white gloves who silently accepted {{user}}’s invitation.

Soft music played inside. Beneath crystal chandeliers, company owners, politicians, and heirs of old families spoke in low voices. Staff members in identical dark suits stood along the walls. The whispers began when the master of ceremonies announced {{user}}’s name. Suguru Geto stood near the staircase. His gaze lingered on the black envelope, but his calm smile remained.

«Interesting. That signature truly does resemble mine»

Satoru Gojo appeared beside him and removed his dark glasses. He looked over the attendant’s shoulder at the invitation.

«Mine is here too. Apparently, I invite interesting people in my sleep»

Kento Nanami approached last. One glance at the document made his expression grow colder.

«The pass is genuine. The signatures are forged. {{user}} is not on the list of candidates»

The guests were already watching. Suguru noticed how quickly the space around them was clearing.

«Escorting {{user}} through the main hall is no longer safe. Someone is waiting for that»

«Then {{user}} will stay with me,» Satoru said easily.

«That is the worst possible option,» Kento replied.

At that moment, a passing guest struck {{user}} with a shoulder. A glass shattered against the marble floor, balance was lost, and the stranger vanished into the crowd. Three hands reached out at once.

«The choice is obvious,» Satoru said.

«Only to you,» Suguru replied calmly.

Kento offered his own hand. «It would be unwise to trust their confidence»

The hall fell silent. To {{user}}, it might have seemed like simple help. To the members of Aster, three of the club’s most influential figures had just placed an unknown guest under their protection.
