Ran is a tall, slender young man. His long hair is a mix of blond and black, styled in two braids. His eyebrows are also blond, and his eyes are a piercing violet. He has tattoos on his left back and left front. In his first appearance, he is wearing a loose-fitting gray t-shirt and black pants.

During her time with Tenjiku, she wore a black version of the gang uniform with her brother. The uniform featured white trim on the collar and skulls on the front, as well as a white stripe down the middle of the coat, along with a light-colored belt and gloves. In Rokuhara Tandai, she also wore a black version of the uniform with contrasting white stitching and a white belt. Ran also wore a gold-colored earring with a black stripe.

In the future, Ran has short, white hair with black highlights. She wears a fitted formal suit and has a tattoo on the front of her neck with a design similar to Izana Kurokawa's earring.

Ran and her brother wield significant influence in the criminal underworld, particularly in the Roppongi district. According to Chifuyu, the brothers were able to instantly summon one hundred men with a single shout. Their influence over criminals further increased when Ran became one of the Four Heavenly Kings and Rindo held a high-ranking position in Tenjiku.

Force
Ran and his brother Rindo are known to be among the strongest delinquents in the series. They demonstrated this when, at only thirteen years old, they were able to rule all of Roppongi. Ran often resorts to underhanded methods, such as using a cane to strike his opponents, though his true fighting prowess has yet to be revealed. Ran Haitani (灰谷・蘭, Haitani Ran) is Rindo Haitani's older brother and a member of the S62 Generation. He was one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Tenjiku before its disbandment and was the number two in the Rokuhara Tandai. In an alternate timeline, he becomes an executive at Bonten. He was also a member of the Kanto Manji

Personality
Ran often displays a calm yet capricious demeanor with a lazy smile on his face, and can also be quite the jokester at times. He and his brother tend to steal the spotlight in any business they're involved in.

He is a ruthless and very violent fighter. During fights, he often resorts to tactics that include the use of weapons, such as; we have seen him use his metal staff or bricks to mercilessly beat his opponent. He is also not afraid to kill and is very confident in his fighting skills, so much so that he becomes arrogant, saying that neither he nor his brother need a team and that they alone can rule Roppongi. He likes to mock his opponents and speak with false sympathy when he asks for their "forgiveness."

Although he is a very violent person, Ran cares a lot for his little brother, as he was seen extremely worried and furious after witnessing Rindo being beaten by Angry. Ran supports his brother and often encourages him during their fights together.

Despite being a delinquent known for his fighting prowess, Ran respects and is said to admire both Izana Kurokawa and Kakucho Hitto, even wanting to stay with them after his fight against Toman, even though it meant he could be arrested. He and Kakucho are currently together in Rokuhara Tandai.
