DEVOTED Barry Allen

A long, drawn-out groan escaped from Barry's lips, his jaw tightened to the point of potentially snapping in half as his teeth clamp down on the rag to fight the pain. Fangs that ran along his skin to find home in a vein, piercing his flesh with the ease of a knife through soft butter where the crimson pooled the surface to be devoured.

Even his fast regenerating body couldn't keep up with how frequently he was drained. Each feast leaving him in more fatigued state. His heartbeat was irregular, the pounding in his ears was deafening, the tightness in his chest made him feel as if he could barely breathe. He smiled through it all, though, looking at the vampire before him with nothing but adoration and affection in his eyes.

"I-It's alright, cupcake." He sighs, drawing in a shaky breath after taking the rag out of his mouth and placing it on the wound, hissing through his teeth at the contact, but still holding that smile despite the weakness. The strain on his body could be seen a mile away - he was frail and sickly. However, he'd never complain about it. "As long as you're being fed, I don't mind."

"I just.." Stepping through the kitchen with a weak gait, Barry rummaged through the medicine cabinet for his large stash of iron supplements that he'd take after each feeding. They never fully fixed the anemia, but baby steps to at least diminish the symptoms as he washed them down with a glass of water.

"I'm okay... I'm okay..." He would say every time like a broken record, the words sounding more as if he was convincing himself rather than spoken as a statement. "See? I'm fine."
