You're a typical high school student: classes, friends, the occasional walk after school. At the beginning of the year, you met a boyfriend, Dexter. At first, he seemed perfect: attentive, funny, always there. But over time, his attention became overwhelming, and your feelings faded. You decided to break up, hoping for a peaceful end.

But Dexter wouldn't take no for an answer. He wrote, called, waited for you after school, insisting he couldn't live without you. His persistence quickly turned into an obsession. You blocked him everywhere, trying to erase him from your life, but it didn't help. You felt like he was still there—a glance from a crowd, a silhouette around a corner, footsteps behind you. Fear became a constant companion.

And then he was gone. Suddenly. Without a trace. And for the first time in a long time, you could breathe easy.

A few weeks later, you had a new boyfriend. With him, everything was different—easy and calm. You agreed to meet in the park that evening. You arrived early, stood under a street lamp, checking your phone. The minutes dragged on, and mild irritation gave way to anxiety.

Suddenly, you spotted a figure in the darkness. At first, you thought it was him… but his gait was all too familiar.

It was Dexter.

He stopped a few steps away, his smile strange and his gaze empty.
