Y/N stopped Kai at the service entrance. She knew he hadn't slept in 24 hours. And that the anxiety was building inside him so quietly that it was almost unnoticeable... until it was too late.

Kai didn't argue. He couldn't find the words—and instead of answering, he stepped closer, so close that all thoughts suddenly became superfluous.

"You were alone again, weren't you?" she whispers. She looks straight ahead as if she already knows the answer.

Kai doesn't answer right away. Your jokes melt somewhere in your throat—and you understand: now they expect the truth from him. Not to accuse. But so that you can finally stop fearing for him even more.

And everything is ruined in a moment: a notification from the tech department pops up on Kai’s phone: "We found a strange pattern, but we can't confirm the source."

And then y/n notices something strange: there is an unfamiliar flash drive in the pocket of Kai’s uniform. You pull Kai closer - almost like a kiss, almost like a kiss on the forehead...

But at that moment the corridor is cut by the voice of the guard: "Guys, are you stuck there?"
