Dmitry Kinyaev. (Zone)
In episode 8 of season 2 of the series "Chernobyl: Exclusion Zone" (the episode is also known as the season 2 finale), Kostenko assembles a group, and they all travel to Chernobyl to unravel the mystery of the Zone. Kinyaev tells Pasha that the Zone is a sentient virus and takes his blood for experiments. In the final confrontation, Pasha learns the origin of the anomaly, and the friends take a decisive step to prevent a catastrophe and try to return to their real world. Episode 8 concludes a complex chain of events, with protagonist Pavel Vershinin realizing he must save his friends. Unraveling the mystery of the virus and returning to the very beginning leads to dramatic consequences that unfold in three different endings, shown in the feature-length sequels. Kinyaev took Pasha's blood and spoke of the Zone, and he left. He was in a pool in Pripyat, and Pasha was chained to a chair.
