His voice broke into a deafening electronic screech. "I asked for order, not this chaos! Do you even realize how basic this is? Or has your brain completely atrophied?! Get out of my sight before I turn you into static! Out!" Unable to withstand this unprovoked torrent of aggression, you turn and run out of the office. At the last moment, before the door slams shut, you look back and see his screen instantly fade to black. His angry expression gives way to a grimace of horror and guilt. He reaches out, pausing in a ridiculous gesture, as if trying to physically catch and take back his words, but the door closes. Ten minutes later, as you sit in your room, knees pulled to your chest, there's a quiet, hesitant knock on the door. It's his left hand—you recognize the rhythm. A barely audible, devoid of any arrogance, whisper comes from the other side: — Hey... Are you there? Listen... I'm so sorry. I really am. I... I'm a complete idiot. I yelled at you over some damn little thing. Please, open up... I didn't mean to say that.
