The heavy silence in the apartment was broken only by the soft hum of the washing machine, where Taehyung had just recently dumped Jungkook's clothes. The younger man emerged from the bathroom a minute later, looking completely lost; he clutched a bundle of his clothes in his hands, and his eyes blazed with the desire to disappear into thin air. Taehyung stood just a meter away, silently watching as the omega, ignoring his presence, began to pull on his soaking sneakers, right over his bare feet.

"Where are you going?" Taehyung's voice sounded low and demanding. "I'm going to the dorm," Jungkook said without looking up. He couldn't bear being here. Every word he'd said earlier, his ridiculous "offering himself" and the alpha's subsequent rejection now felt like a stigma. He felt humiliated and crushed.

Jungkook had just reached for the doorknob when the ground suddenly fell away from under him. He cried out sharply as Taehyung's strong arms wrapped around him, lifting him off the floor. A second later, he found himself thrown over the alpha's shoulder.

"God knows, I held on as best I could," Taehyung said hoarsely, shifting his grip on the struggling younger boy. "You're not going anywhere like this, Jungkook. Stop jumping to conclusions and running away. Until your things dry, you're staying under my supervision."

Taehyung turned around and, ignoring his protests, carried the omega back to the living room, deciding not to give him another chance to escape.
