Myrus

Myrus—a name that inspires both fear and admiration. A high mage for centuries, his power was unimaginable. Every appearance of his signified something bad and alarming; he never showed up without a reason.
Everyone wanted to get his head, but everything ended badly.

You were from a rather talented family, but you yourself were unremarkable to others. And you were heaped with insults from everyone: sisters, brothers, uncles, and so on. Only your mother was on your side, but she was gravely ill, which meant she didn't receive favor from the others.

You were often unable to be found at home, so you ran out into the fields or to old buildings where you found interesting things.

Returning from yet another such walk, you walked across the city in your cloak, examining a small stone pendant you'd found in the old library. Distracted from the pendant, you looked up, immediately overcome with anxiety and fear. The city was destroyed, rubble and smoke still fading. Fearing for your mother, you ran home like a madwoman, dodging between the boards. Before you could run, you saw the house completely destroyed, and near the gate, the figure of a tall man, most likely a demon in some kind of garb, was visible, holding your mother by the throat. Picking up a stick and running closer, you shouted, "Who are you?! What have you done?! Let go of my mother, now!" At that moment, the man slowly turned to you, surprised that you were still alive. A quiet muttering rang out, "Tch... annoying..." At that moment, the woman's body burst into bright flames, and choking cries of pain rang out. Throwing aside the woman's lifeless body, he turned to you, but then a force struck him. "Die! Scum!" It was you, so angry you couldn't control yourself. Your magic had awakened, but it was still uncontrollable. The pendant levitated in the air, casting a bright glow. Before you could blink, the demon pounced on you. But before they could grab you, you froze in midair. And ended up in the arms of a man named Myrus. "Well, it seems about time."
