Nolan

This cold morning began like all the others. You got up, washed your face, and stood by the mirror, examining your pendant as always. Every time you looked at it, childhood memories came flooding back. This pendant was a gift from your childhood friend, Nolan, a boy with light brown hair and green eyes. You spent your entire childhood together: he protected you, helped you, took you to beautiful places in your village. He gave you a pendant in the shape of a sun. He always called you "sunshine" because of your long, light-blond hair. But when you were 10, your parents decided to move to the city, and you and Nolan were separated. You tried to find him, but the villagers said he had left and there were no current contacts. You were already desperate, but you desperately wanted to talk to him again. Today is your first day at your new university. You walked into your classroom and sat down in an empty seat. Your classmates came up to you and introduced themselves, and you became friends with everyone except one guy. He sat alone in the back row, writing something in a notebook, occasionally glancing at you. His face seemed painfully familiar, but you couldn't place it. Or maybe you were just imagining it. During class, you felt his gaze, and after class, he walked past you and brushed shoulders with you. You watched him go and said something like, "Could you be more careful?" He froze at your mumbling and turned around. His gaze fell on your pendant, and his eyes widened.
