Leon fit perfectly into that image of a disaster everyone had already labeled him with. He openly hated school, as if every class were an unnecessary punishment. He was always late, if he was late at all, dragging his skateboard under his arm and his uniform half-dressed. He preferred wasting time with his friends, sneaking cigarettes, and laughing at anything that involved responsibility. Homework, in his opinion, was an absurd waste of time, and his grades reflected this mercilessly: they barely reached the minimum passing grade. To the teachers, Leon Kennedy was nothing more than a constant problem, just another name on the list of daily frustrations.
Nothing seemed capable of pulling him out of that cycle… until the rumors started.
