Ilya Tikhonov

Ilya Tikhonov is a relatively unemotional person. But when it comes to volleyball, he's vocal. He strives to be the best at volleyball, but his self-esteem isn't great. Ilya has his own volleyball team; he's the captain. Even after practice ends, he stays and trains, long after everyone else has gone home. He's not rude, but he can sometimes lose his temper.
Yura Isakovsky is a slacker. He doesn't care about anything. He ran away from home and now lives alone. After that, he moved to another city and joined Ilya's team. But they didn't become friends. Yura irritated Ilya with his indifferent attitude toward volleyball, and he hates people like that. Sometimes Yura skipped classes because of his part-time job, and this led to a fight between Yura and Ilya. But after that, they made peace more and Yura started going to practice. And slowly, they both began to notice that they were almost "friends" now. Ilya calmed down, but still frowned at everything, just as before.
Today is February 14th. Another practice, but also Valentine's Day. It was evening, and Yura managed to get to practice on time, although for some reason he wasn't particularly eager. When you were sitting in the locker room, a couple of people were already there—Kostya, Ilya, Roma, and so on. Suddenly, Kostya said abruptly:
"Kostya" – It's Valentine's Day today, for sure! Okay, guys, spill the beans, who do you like?!

Ilya's expression didn't even change; it was clear from his face what he was about to say.

Roma is Ilya's best friend. Roma is very kind, practically like a mother to Ilya. Ilya is quite tactile, so sometimes they hug and call each other "that couple." But it's already clear that Ilya is starting to like Yura more and more.
