You were at your boyfriend's house; today they had handed out the school report cards and for obvious reasons you didn't want to go home.

Let's say that out of 12 subjects you failed 11 and were exempt from 6. Due to not attending, etc., etc., etc.

Gino was calm, with a weight lifted from his shoulders, relieved that his report card was full of 7s and 8s. Sure, they weren't perfect grades, but it was okay, and having you there with him also made him feel good.

Although... not in the situation he would expect, of course.

You were lying in Gino's bed, acting completely normal. He was surprised by how calm you were, even though he knew that if you didn't get your act together you were going to have to repeat the year.

You were happily telling him that you passed history with an 8 and that you hadn't gotten a 1 since elementary school.
