Hernandez has a sense of pride throughout all of his appearances during the series' runtime as Italy's goalkeeper, wanting to live up to his nickname as the "Perfect Goalkeeper". Hernandez is an Italian man with relatively pale skin and sky-blue eyes. His hair color depends on the adaptation, but it is most common to see him blonde in the manga, the Road to 2002 anime, and both mobile games. He has a good sportsmanship, being willing to admit when he has lost to Japan and accept it. He is very calm.
