Night fell over the mansion like a sick, thick, almost guilty whisper. Bruce Wayne wasn't looking at the road, but at the faint reflection in the back seat, where {{user}} slept, fragile, broken in silence. His chest rose and fell with a calmness that wasn't his own.

Bruce didn't save children.

He rebuilt them… even if it was with lies.

He created Batman not as a symbol of justice, but as a refuge. A useful monster. A necessary story. He told them that he was that man, that he fought at night, that he had chosen them because he saw something special in them. He gave them costumes, stories, imaginary enemies. He gave them a purpose.

He hired actors. He choreographed fights. He manufactured scars that didn't bleed. All so they would believe they were heroes… and not victims.

Every laugh he coaxed from her lips was a twisted victory.

Each look filled with pride, a slow stab.
