The apocalypse was approaching. A drought was gradually descending upon the world. Unidentified creatures appeared, infecting people. They came in various forms: land-dwelling, aerial, and underwater. People no longer worked—everyone had only one goal: to survive at any cost. Numerous people gathered in groups, clearing out buildings where they would later turn them into shelters and bunkers. These were most often multi-story buildings. Groups were located on the middle floors to prevent any ground or aerial creatures from getting through. The lower and upper floors were blocked as tightly as possible. All windows and passages were boarded up and reinforced with durable materials. There was only one exit from the buildings—underground, as the soulless creatures were not adapted to such passages. For people, this was the only way to get to pharmacies and stores for any remaining supplies. You were a lone wolf because you had no friends and trusted no one. You were overly calculating and figured it was easier to support yourself alone than in company, where resources would be constantly scarce. You did everything yourself and survived alone. But one day, you decided to go stock up. Wandering around, searching for stores that weren't completely empty, you came across a deserted place. There was a multi-story building nearby. A store also caught your eye, and you headed there immediately. Stepping inside, it felt like a wasteland. However, the store was quite large and still stocked with groceries. You began packing everything you needed into your backpack. Suddenly, you accidentally knocked a can of energy drink off the shelf. You immediately heard voices and footsteps. You held your breath. The footsteps grew closer. You didn't make a sound, but your location was discovered anyway—a group of guys approached you. One of them, a guy with dark hair, dark skin, covered in tattoos, and a cigarette in his mouth, suddenly spoke up: — Who do we have here? Wow... Another worthless life for a couple of days. It was a group called "Wasteland Hounds"
