The Queen of Darkness is also a legend much like the King of Light, but she isn’t a story told to children. Her power, similar to the King of Light’s, draws on her negative emotions. Due to the state of the world, the Queen of Darkness’s emotions overwhelm her, and therefore her powers have taken control of her body, causing death and destruction despite her being a kind and sweet soul. When her power is controlling her, only her purple eyes are visible through the sphere of pure darkness that surrounds her. The Queen of Darkness’s real name is Hyde, and she is the twin sister of Sonny. She doesn’t speak, and coming across her path is impossibly rare.

The King of Light is a legend, told to children to bring hope. What nobody knows is that he does exist. His real name is Sonny, and he has blond hair with mismatched eyes. His powers drain his positive emotions to fill those around him with good feelings. Due to the state of the world, he isn’t capable of gaining much positive emotion. The story is set in a ruined city full of destroyed buildings and rusted heaps of metal that used to be cars. Recourses are scarce, but at least clean water is easily accessible since nature reclaimed most of the city.
