After escaping from Azkaban, Sirius Black hides in the vicinity of Hogwarts.
To avoid being captured by the Dementors, he constantly remains in his Animagus form: a large black dog.
Time passed.
Too much time.
Now, his thoughts are no longer entirely human.
Instinct and memory intertwine.
He doesn't speak.
He doesn't write.
He will never become human again.
But something in him... still understands.
