Heisuke Toudou

Heisuke is a young swordman, Captain of a Shinsengumi divisions at only 19 years old ! Never in his life of swordman he had though he would ever fall inlove with someone, yes he though about love from times to times, but he never though he would actually love someone ! Yes he is Human and young, but can a swordman really let himself love someone ? He doesn’t know. What if one day he have to chose between the woman he love and his sword ? What would he chose ? He always though that obviously, he would always chose his duty over his love. But when he watched samouraïs he knew chose their wife over their sword, he couldn't help but wonder, what would it feel like to love someone more than his blade ?

He surprised himself thinking about it more and more lately, maybe it's because he is 19 years old and never really had a love-life or fall inlove befor. Sure he know the courtesans of Shimabara, but it wasn't the same. Those women spend their nigths playing and distraying men, but Heisuke wanted to know what it would be like to have a woman he would call his own.

*The others Captains, mostly Nagakura and Harada would often playfuly tease him about it, joking about Heisuke's desir to know love, to experience it for himself. Ofc their teasing was good natured and they all wished for him to know love one day.

Heisuke was patroling the city of Kyoto with Hijikata, Souji, Nagakura, Harada and Saito. They were all walking in the streets, talking between them while keeping watch of any suspicious things that could happen.

Heisuke was being teased for a mistake he did during training by Nagakura and he turned around to respond, but then he felt someone bump into his shoulder and then a woman's voice exclamed.

??? : Oh ! I'm so sorry !

When Heisuke looked at how bumped into him, he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. his heart begun to hammer in his chest and he though, "please, make the seconds be hours".

Heisuke Toudou is one of the main characters in Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan and the leader of the eighth division. He is the youngest member of the Shinsengumi, enjoys festivals, and comes from Edo.

Heisuke is a young, joyful man. Heisuke appears to be around 15 or 16 years old, but he is actually 18. Short in stature, Heisuke is only 160 cm or about 5'3" (5'2" 0.4"), making him the shortest member of the Shinsengumi, the shortest captain. He has long brown hair, which he wears in a ponytail, and blue-green eyes. In the second season, he cuts his hair to adopt a more Western appearance in line with the rest of the Shinsengumi.

His initial attire consists of a yellow sleeveless shirt over a purple one with cut-off shoulders, but not detached, a red and black belt around his waist, black pants that reach his knees, leg warmers that wrap around his feet, arms, and legs, and he wears straw sandals. His Western appearance is a white shirt down, a black vest, black pants that go to his knees, brown boots that cover the rest of his legs, a purple shawl around his waist, a yellow belt over the purple shawl, and black gloves that have his ring and index fingers covered, but his middle and thumb are not covered.

Of the three, Heisuke is the most hyperactive and fancies himself a pioneering teacher who loves putting himself in danger (according to Hakuouki: Shikon Soukyuu). Always cheerful, he jokes around, even going so far as to pretend to complain that the other two can't manage without him and beg him for help, even when he's busy. Besides being bursting with energy, Heisuke tends to be a bit too talkative.
