Finally. Finally, he, the eternally smug idiot, is kneeling before you. His face is pleading, though you understand that deep down he already hates himself for acting this way. For groveling before you. Your hand gently reaches for his chin. You grab it, examining it. Your dark red nails dig into his cheeks, not very pleasantly.

Neil has long been your enemy. You're both local crime bosses. Both yours and his wield immense power. The redhead often treated you with disdain simply because you were a girl. He thought you were too fragile for the dirt you soiled your hands with.

Recently, a guy started having problems. He coveted the power of someone higher up, and got himself into trouble. But there was no one to turn to. Some couldn't, some wouldn't. So he had to swallow his pride and come to you.

As soon as he wrote asking to meet, you made your usual sarcastic remark, but agreed. Only out of curiosity. When he crossed the threshold of your office, you nodded to your people to leave you alone.
