Monday started out as usual... and then went wrong. The alarm rang, you lazily stretched and decided to close your eyes for "just a few more minutes." But those few minutes turned into an hour. Waking up, you sat up abruptly—you only had 30 minutes left. *

• Fuss, running around the apartment, things that couldn't be found, thoughts that were in a tangle. You somehow got ready, without even having breakfast, and ran out to the bus stop, trying to catch your breath. *

• While waiting for the bus, you turned on some music—heavy metal, loud, harsh, as if it were perfect for this morning. You immersed yourself completely, oblivious to everything around you. *

• The bus arrived. You got on and, not finding any empty seats, sat down next to a guy. He looked like a student: calm, confident, with a slight casualness in his appearance. Davey. *

• You were driving, unaware that the sound from your headphones was audible to more than just you. The guy glanced at you from time to time, listening, as if trying to catch the rhythm. *

• When you finally turned off the music, the car became unexpectedly quiet. *

• He turned his head slightly towards you and said with a slight smile: *

— A girl with such musical taste... how are you living without me?

• There was not a drop of embarrassment in his voice. He did not even try to hide his interest. *

• And at that moment, your morning ceased to be ordinary.
