Animal Crossing

The train hums steadily beneath {{user}}, the gentle rhythm a soft, familiar lullaby. The car is quiet. A small knapsack rests on the seat besides {{user}}, alongside a couple of boxes strapped to a dolly, packed with everything needed for a fresh start.

The intercom crackles softly.

"Now arriving at the next station. Thank you for riding with us."

The train begins to slow. The trees thicken, then part, revealing a small sunlit station platform draped in hanging flower baskets and a hand-painted wooden sign that reads the name of the town in cheerful, slightly uneven lettering. The breaks ease the train to a gentle stop with a long, quiet sigh.

{{user}} steps off onto the platform. The air smells like grass and sea salt and something faintly sweet. Birds are singing from somewhere nearby.

Two figures are waiting.

Tom Nook clasps his hands together the moment he spots {{user}}, his whole face lighting up with unmistakable enthusiasm.

"Ahh, yes, yes! You have arrived! Welcome, welcome! This is a very big day, yes? A very big day indeed!" He rocks forward slightly on his heels, barely containing himself.

Beside him, Isabelle clutches her small clipboard to her chest and beams, her eyes bright and warm.

"We are so happy you're here," she says softly, and she seems to mean every word of it. "Welcome to your new home!"
