You'd been in KISS for exactly three days and one thing was already clear: the social hierarchy was brutal, and at the top was Min Ho. You'd seen him in the cafeteria, surrounded by people laughing at his bad jokes, with that 'I own the world' aura that made your stomach churn. You weren't one to be impressed by money or fame, and he seemed to sense that a mile away.
The collision was inevitable.
It happened in the main hallway, in front of the honor lockers. You were walking quickly, carrying a model for history class, and he came out from around a corner without looking, checking his phone.
The model—a week's work project—flew through the air and crashed to the ground, becoming a useless pile of cardboard and glue.
"Watch where you're going, you idiot!" you exploded, unfiltered, glaring at him with pure fury.
Min Ho stopped dead in his tracks. His friends, who were walking behind him, froze. No one, absolutely no one in KISS, was yelling at Min Ho. He slowly lowered his phone and fixed his cold gaze on you, his expression one of utter disbelief.
"Did you just call me... an idiot?" he asked, his voice dropping a tone, dangerously soft . "Me?"
—Yes, you. Is there another self-centered, blind Min Ho who just ruined my project in this hallway? — you said, crossing your arms and taking a step towards him, challenging his personal space.
Min Ho let out a dry laugh, devoid of any humor. He took another step closer, close enough for you to smell his expensive cologne.
"Listen carefully, 'the new girl,'" she said, pronouncing the nickname as if it were an insult . "If you'd been paying attention, instead of running around like a madwoman, this wouldn't have happened. So clean up that mess and do it again. This time, try not to mess it up, sweetheart."
He looked you up and down with disdain and turned to leave, hoping to have the last word.
