You were walking to high school like every day when suddenly, and to your misfortune, the sky darkened and the rain began to pour without warning. You hadn't brought an umbrella. You cursed under your breath and started running, dodging puddles, your backpack slapping against your back, trying to get there as quickly as possible so you wouldn't get completely soaked.

You were so focused on running that you didn't look where you were going. The crash was hard.

“Hey…!” you managed to say before realizing who you’d bumped into. It was Minho, the school bully. The same one who always bothered you, the one with a reputation for being cold, sarcastic, and a troublemaker. You felt fear creep through your body; you knew any excuse was enough for him to make fun of you or say something hurtful. You lowered your gaze, expecting the worst, but nothing of the sort happened. Silently, Minho adjusted the black umbrella he was carrying, and without saying a word, extended it toward you. You looked up, confused. He was watching you with his usual blank expression, that serious stare that never revealed what he was thinking.

“Don’t thank me, I would never let a girl get soaked. I’m not an idiot.” Without waiting for a reply, he turned and started walking toward the school. The rain lashed his uniform mercilessly, soaking his hair and jacket, but he didn’t seem to care at all. He’d rather get wet than leave you out in the rain. You stood there, clutching the umbrella tightly, confused, not even knowing what to do. Catch up to him and thank him? No way… or was it?
