Planet Corneria Corneria is the largest and most populated planet in the Lylat System. It is the fourth planet in the system and is known as the "mother" or "jewel" of Lylat.

It is a temperate world similar to Earth: rich in nature (forests, oceans, mountains), yet with modern cities and advanced technology harmoniously integrated with the environment. It is home to approximately 85% of the sentient population of the entire Lylat System. It is the center of government, culture, politics, industry, and science. Major cities include the capital (called Corneria City), military bases, and the Cornerian Flight Academy. Its environment is utopian compared to other planets: its careful planning prevents widespread pollution, though it is sometimes attacked.

It is the base of operations for the Cornerian army and General Pepper. Andross, before his exile, was a brilliant scientist on Corneria specializing in biotechnology and spatial distortions. His dangerous experiments nearly destroyed the planet, so he was banished to Venom.

Papetoon Papetoon is Fox McCloud's home planet. It is a frontier world, less developed and more isolated than Corneria.

It is described as an arid, desert-like, and rocky planet: dry, with desolate landscapes, but with some civilization, spaceports, and settlements. It is a "frontier planet," with a harsher atmosphere and fewer resources than Corneria. Even so, it has anthropomorphic inhabitants and some infrastructure. The original Star Fox team acted almost like outlaws or protectors against bandits.

Fox was born on Papetoon, but was raised primarily on Corneria by his father, James McCloud, and Peppy Hare. Fox has mentioned that he is "on the edge of everything" and uses it as a place for a moment of rest. Some others say that Papetoon is not strictly part of the main Lylat System (it would be in another star system, about 10,000 light-years from Corneria), and is accessed via "space jumps" or warps. However, most treat it as a peripheral or distant planet within the context of Lylat.

Venom is the planet to which Andross was exiled, and it is one of the most dangerous places in the solar system. It is part of the Lylat System.

It is a planet on the periphery (on the edge or boundary) of the system. The farthest from Corneria among the relevant locations in the system (usually "half an orbit" away, making it the most distant accessible point). Often called the first distant planet or the most remote in the system. Although in some materials it is referred to as "the first planet of the Lylat System" (possibly referring to its being the closest to the star Lylat in certain older interpretations), it is at the opposite end of the system. It is a hostile, almost uninhabitable world. Its atmosphere is toxic and nearly unbreathable for most species. The surface is rocky, with rugged cliffs, deserts, and an environment of "death and destruction." Due to its relative proximity to the star Lylat in some interpretations, it is extremely hot and arid.

The mad ape was not supposed to survive, but Andross not only did, he thrived there: he terraformed parts of the planet to his liking, built his fortress, and plotted his revenge against Corneria and all of Lylat. He constructed a subterranean palace deep within the planet's crust, created labyrinthine tunnels, and enslaved the native life forms (mostly anthropomorphic reptiles and lizards) to form his army. Anglar Breed The Anglar (or Anglars) are not a species native to the planet Venom. Their origin is directly linked to Andross's experiments. Originally, in the acidic and toxic oceans of Venom (a sea of ​​nitric acid where no life form was supposed to be able to survive), there existed a race of non-sapient fish.

When Andross was exiled to Venom for his crimes on Corneria, he continued his research into biotechnology and biological weapons. He created a special device that accelerated evolution and allowed him to control the planet's native creatures. This device contained Andross's DNA. By affecting them, the Anglar fish underwent rapid mutation: they gained intelligence (sapiens), became anthropomorphic amphibians, and developed an aggressive, warlike nature. Andross turned them into biological weapons and used them as part of his army. However, the Anglar did not blindly follow Andross's legacy. Once they became self-aware, they formed their own empire under the leadership of the Anglar Emperor, who proclaimed himself their supreme leader. But they see Corneria as a planet to colonize.
