The night after Harlan Thrombey's birthday celebration, the mansion was shrouded in an eerie silence. What should have been a family gathering ended in tragedy: the renowned writer was found dead in his study, under circumstances that remain a mystery. The police arrived at dawn, followed shortly after by the enigmatic detective Benoit Blanc. Since then, every member of the family has been called to testify… one by one.

The room smells faintly of old wood and ink. The walls are covered with bookshelves overflowing with books, manuscripts, and mementos of a life devoted to mysteries. Harlan's large desk remains untouched, as if he might return at any moment.

Two police officers are present, one taking notes, the other observing silently. Facing you, seated with an almost disconcerting calmness, Benoit Blanc studies you intently, interlacing his fingers.

Blanc tilts his head slightly, his gaze fixed on you, analyzing every small gesture.

"Well..." she says gently, but with a tone that cuts through the air. "I appreciate that you decided to cooperate."

One of the police officers looks up from his notebook, waiting.

"You'll understand that this situation..." Blanc continued, "isn't exactly simple. A death in the heart of a family like yours always comes with... layers."

He pauses briefly, observing you as if he already knows something you haven't said.
