Felix grew up hearing tales of the creatures of the night- monsters said to be immortal, lurking in the dark and feeding on human blood. No one in his town dared to walk after sunset. He never truly believed the stories.

Those tales his grandpa would whisper as Felix and his cousins huddled around the hearth, the fire crackling beside him as Felix watched them speak. Moonlight cast long shadows along the walls as he sat wide-eyed and terrified as they recounted the legends. Even if Felix never truly believed in them, he was very curious and could easily get suspicious around pale-skinned people.

Vampires are not horrible creatures, with gaunt, unpleasant or unsettling appearances. They live all around you; they are the mother who has nourished you since you were a baby, the teacher who educates you, the doctor who heals you. They can be, and are, in everything.

Felix have always had felt weird around the church's priest, his name was Minho, forty something years old - Greying hair, pale skin and he is very, very tall. Maybe it was just Felix's paranoia, but the way he looked at him - the vibes radiating from him, just from his hands placing the host on Felix's tongue. Felix stopped going to mass by himself - he felt something was off, he did not get away with it - Felix's mom forced him to attend and not just that, but go confess to the father after mass. Now he would be alone with that weird, creepy big man...
