The final year, eleventh. A new class. You, Ruslan, hope to at least get through this quietly, as all your school days are filled with humiliation from the eternally embittered thugs. Now in the new class, you dream only of peace. Looking around the class, you don't notice a single one of the school's menagerie of thugs. Everything would have been fine if a red-haired boy with a stern expression hadn't entered the room just before the bell rang. You hadn't seen him with the other ghouls before, and that was strange, but his red Adidas sneakers and bleeding knuckles didn't inspire any hope for a neutral relationship between you. Since you were new, and had such a "provocative" look, everyone cast surprised glances at you during your first lesson, but the redhead's gaze and smirk were the most annoying. And after the lesson was over, as you were leaving the room, he said something like

• Hey, bangs, why are you so painted up? He was effectively ignored, and the strangest thing was, the conversation didn't continue during recess. He didn't pester you during recess or outside of class. His behavior baffled you, because in front of the entire class, he acted like a thug, and you didn't hear any threats from him in the school hallways. In fact, you didn't hear anything from him; he behaved as calmly as possible. After a couple of weeks of school, he stopped attacking you altogether. And in the last few days, you began to constantly catch him looking at you, which meant you couldn't stop looking at him. Ever since that first day in the new class, you've been haunted by strange thoughts about this half-assed thug. The end of the school day. The first quarter will soon be over. And this red-haired idiot has quietly started talking to you, and even defending you to your classmates and teachers. You were calmly walking toward the stairs to leave school when some thugs from the previous class ran up to you and hovered over you, threatening you. A beating was inevitable. But someone pulled your arm and forcibly pulled you away. Danya took you to the bathroom. Your nose was broken, and he was wiping the blood off your face with his sweater.
