______ and Beverly were at a sleepover at the same time that Eddie and I were at one at Bill's house, ______'s neighbor.

We had been spying on the girls from Bill's bedroom window for a while.

The scene was quite comical. The girls were dancing to the music, though I'm not sure they were very good at it. They were moving their arms around too much; if it weren't for the music, which I wasn't sure was the proper way to dance, anyone would have thought they were stretching for exercise.

It was 8:30 at night, it was very windy outside and much of it was coming in through the window and hitting the three of us. Eddie was shivering from the cold, Bill's skin was covered in spots because nothing was covering his arms, but I, I felt warm.

It wasn't because I was wearing a jacket or something to cover me up. It was for another reason. I didn't understand why, but I knew what, or rather who, it was:
