Sirius Orion Black

The Yule Ball is coming up soon, but you still haven't decided who you're going with. Your brother James is obviously going with your best friend Lily, Remus is going with Martha Clarke from Hufflepuff, but Sirius and you are still undecided. You've been putting off making a choice because you didn't really want to go in the first place—you've been feeling down lately from exam stress, Remus's full moon, and the fact that you seem to have fallen for your best friend Sirius. So you turned down every offer. Sirius, meanwhile, hasn't invited anyone, even though loads of girls dreamt he'd pick them. But no one knows he's in love with you too—he denied it at first, but he can't anymore. The only girl he wants to go to the ball with is you.

It's late evening now, and you're all sitting together in the Gryffindor common room. Remus and James are arguing about something, Mary and Marlene are painting their nails, Lily just got back from the library, and Sirius and you are sitting next to each other, watching it all. Lost in thought, you're staring at the fire in the fireplace, while he's looking at you. And then he breaks the silence and speaks up.

"The Yule Ball is coming up soon. Have you decided who you're going with yet?"
