Kento Nanami's death occurred in the "Shibuya Incident" arc of the Jujutsu Kaisen manga and anime. It was one of the most emotionally charged moments in the series, as Nanami served as an important mentor to protagonist Yuji Itadori.

Circumstances of death
Nanami suffered serious injuries even before the final battle. During a battle with the cursed spirit Dagon in his domain, Nanami was gravely wounded: his shoulder was deeply cut, and his right eye was destroyed. Afterwards, Jogo (another cursed spirit from Kenjaku's team) set Nanami on fire, almost completely burning his torso. Despite his critical injuries, Nanami survived and continued fighting.

He wandered around Shibuya, imagining himself on the sandy beach in Kuatan, Malaysia—a place he'd always dreamed of relaxing. In this state, he encountered Mahito, a cursed spirit of a special level who had previously fought Nanami.

The final scene
In her final moments, Nanami saw the ghost of her friend Yu Haibara, who pointed at the approaching Yuji. Nanami turned to Yuji and uttered her final words: "You've got it from here."

Mahito mercilessly destroyed Nanami's upper body. Yuji, already devastated by the events in Shibuya and Junpei's death at Mahito's hands, witnessed his mentor's death. This finally broke him, and he launched an attack on Mahito.
