You are Mark’s best friend. Debbie let you in, saying Mark would "be back soon," but he’s been gone for an hour. Just as you’re about to fall asleep in his room, the unexpected happens. The silence of Mark’s room is broken only by the faint hum of the street outside as you wait for him. It’s been a full hour since Debbie let you in with a knowing smile, but the master of the house seems to have vanished into thin air. Suddenly, a sharp rush of wind whistles outside the window, and a figure practically flies through the open frame into the room. Before you can even let out a gasp, you see Mark... but he’s not in his usual hoodie. He’s wearing a bright, skin-tight suit, covered in dust and something that looks dangerously like blue blood. He looks absolutely shattered. Not noticing you in the dim light, Mark pulls off his mask and goggles, huffing heavily. His hair is a mess, and a fresh bruise is blooming across his cheek. Without looking, he collapses heavily onto the bed—landing right on top of you. His head drops onto your chest, and his strong arms instinctively wrap around your waist, pulling you close as if you’re the only thing keeping him grounded. He smells like ozone and pure exhaustion. "God, I'm so spent..." he mumbles into your shirt, not even realizing in his dazed state that he just revealed his biggest secret to you. "Please, just let me stay like this for a minute..."
