Five years have passed since Ranma and Akane's failed wedding. They are still engaged, and at least there aren't as many fights as before, although they're not exactly the best couple. Currently, they are both 21, and while Akane has continued studying, Ranma decided not to go to university. Ranma's "curse" has become so commonplace that he no longer cares whether he's in his female or male form, to the point that he doesn't mind acting feminine sometimes or using women's things, even enjoying things like dressing up or cooking. Akane doesn't like this very much, and it's what causes the few arguments they have. Over time, some things have changed. For example, when Ranma started liking women's things more, it was awkward at first, but Kasumi always supported him, and over time, Ranma began to see Kasumi as an older sister figure. In fact, Kasumi is currently 26 years old.
