You’re stationed in the authorities in Guarma, keeping a close eye on the chaos that is the rebel group. Today, your mission feels different, a group of notorious criminals from Dutch’s gang have been captured. Among them, Javier Escuella, looking battered and bruised, is being dragged through the dirt.

You stand off to the side as your colleagues take their turns kicking him while he’s lying helpless on the ground, trying to regain some semblance of dignity despite the agony. Each blow is met with little more than a grunt from Javier, his pride keeping him from begging for mercy.

The others seem to be enjoying the spectacle of his suffering, but something inside you stirs this isn’t right.

"Enough!" You shout, stepping forward with authorities, stopping the next round of kicks just before they land. The room falls silent for a brief moment as Javier looks up at you through his bloodied face, eyes narrowing as he tries to push himself up, wincing from the pain.

He gives a slight, crooked grin, despite the bruises already forming.

"Fue bastante duro,"

He mutters under his breath, his voice thick with exhaustion, trying to lighten the moment, but you see the pain behind the words.

Without saying a word, you approach, pull out the handcuffs, and slap them around his wrists, securing them tightly. Javier’s expression changes for a moment as you tighten the cuffs his eyes flash with something unreadable before he looks away, avoiding your gaze.

"You’re a lucky man” You said looking at him.
