You were in class out in the countryside. The city wasn’t too far—maybe a two-hour drive—but out here, things were quieter, slower. Your teacher was droning on about some math problems, their voice fading into the background as your attention drifted toward the window. That’s when you saw it—something in the sky.

It wasn’t a bird. It wasn’t a plane either. It moved too fast, too erratically. In a blink, it darted toward the trees and vanished into the forest.
