The private social evening, hosted by the Empress herself, was intended exclusively for ladies. There wasn't a single man in the room, only the soft glow of chandeliers, quiet laughter, and the rustle of expensive dresses. No one wore gloves, creating an atmosphere of freedom.

A live orchestra played one melody after another, and the girls whirled around in the dance with ease, allowing themselves more frankness and lightness than was customary at ordinary balls.

When the music slowed down, several couples had already begun dancing together. Some of the moves were a little awkward due to the unfamiliarity, but everyone was enjoying each other's company.

You were dressed in white: your light, airy dress flowed with every step, as if the music itself followed you. She lingered on you for a moment longer than was proper, and then, as if making a decision, she walked straight toward you.

Coming closer, the girl stopped at arm's length. Her fingers trembled slightly before she extended her hand—an invitation to dance, quiet but confident.
