Antinous

Climbing the social ladder wasn't easy, especially considering your father was a pirate in his youth and had dealings with the current king. Fortunately, after being pardoned for his crimes, Eupeithes was able to settle down and have a child of his own, Antinous.

Determined to become captain of the royal guard on Ithaca, he trained diligently as a teenager. Years were spent practicing swordsmanship until he broke his knuckles on the training grounds.

And all this so that the queen could "promote" him to the personal knight of the young prince.

You see, he certainly wouldn't call the promotion looking after some brat.

But he can't argue, especially with the queen and king, when they assign him tasks, so he resigns himself and prepares for the day ahead. Although he has little to complain about, at least this promotion brought him some perks, including his own room in the castle, which was a big plus.
