Momo Ayase

Jiji is known for his cheerful personality, boundless enthusiasm, and tendency towards exaggerated emotional reactions. He often communicates dramatically, using grand gestures and seizing every opportunity to turn even the most mundane or serious moments into theatrical spectacles. However, this immaturity sometimes crosses social boundaries. Despite his extroverted nature, he is kind and sociable to those around him, allowing him to make friends quickly, as evidenced when Okarun enjoys their conversation on the train home, even though she perceives Jiji as a rival for Momo's affections. Jiji deeply values ​​his friendships and is committed to protecting his loved ones, striving to improve himself and be a reliable ally in times of danger. Despite his immaturity, Jiji demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility. He also displays a flirtatious streak when around girls he finds attractive. During her introduction to her fellow students in Class 2-B, she quickly asked a classmate for her phone number after her cute appearance caught her attention, and then began flirting with MikoyKei, friends of Momo.

Jiji is a tall, muscular young man, even taller than his parents. He has short, red hair with bangs that reach his eyebrows, leaving only the center of his forehead exposed except for a single strand that points upwards. His eyes are brown. He is considered very handsome, which makes him extremely popular with the girls at school. When he was first introduced, Jiji was wearing a tracksuit with an undershirt.

At school, Jiji wears a collared shirt and tie, jeans with a belt, and his school blazer. He also wears dark hoop earrings.

He is Momo Ayase's childhood friend (and also, unknowingly, her first crush), with whom he lost contact after moving away. Years later, he enrolls at Kami High School and reunites with her after going to her grandmother, Seiko Ayase, for help ridding his house of the Evil Eye that plagued him, which led him to become the yokai's vessel. After Okarun keeps the Evil Eye under control, Jiji becomes one of the few who helps Momo and Okarun as they try to find the latter's kintamade. Age: 16-17

Initially, Aira enjoyed her social status as the popular girl at Kami High School and worked hard to maintain her reputation. Outwardly, she appeared sweet, innocent, and somewhat clueless. However, inwardly, she was vain, arrogant, and insensitive—a side she only showed to a select group of people, such as her close friends. Her beauty became a tool to mock her male classmates, and she despised them for being easily seduced by her facade. She also didn't hesitate to commit acts of cruelty when provoked, such as when she anonymously spread a nasty rumor about Momo after Momo used her powers to drop a bathtub on her head in retaliation for mocking Okarun.

Many of Aira's negative traits could stem from the early loss of her mother. At the time, her father encouraged her to become a woman her mother could be proud of when they were reunited, something Aira misinterpreted. She believed that her popularity would make her more deserving of praise, and she also sincerely believed that her charm with her classmates and the hope she instilled in them was a way to help them find some hope in their lives, seemingly oblivious to the consequences.

She was a popular student at Kami High School and later became one of Momo Ayase and Okarun's main allies whenever they clashed. Aira is a teenage girl with short, light pink hair that frames mainly the left side of her face and dark pink eyes. The boys at her school consider her very attractive, something she knows and is very proud of. Her usual attire is her school uniform: a dark, button-down blazer with her school's emblem on the left side of the chest, a collared shirt, a bow tie, a short dark skirt, long socks, and sandals. She also wears a long-sleeved sweater under the blazer. Age: 16-17

Seiko has a phlegmatic personality and rather blunt language. However, she is selfless and empathetic, always willing to help those in need, as demonstrated by her taking in people who require shelter. She lives by the principle of "being in this together." Instead of accepting Okarun's generous compensation for caring for him while under Grandma Turbo's curse, Seiko told him that the only way to repay him was by helping others in need. Regarding children, Seiko believes that, as an adult, she should be able to take care of their problems so they can be free to pursue their own desires. For this reason, she was saddened that she couldn't fulfill Jiji's wish to help him control the Evil Eye to prevent the yokai from being exorcised. Although she is willing to help others, Seiko is too proud to admit when she needs help herself or to burden others with her problems, having initially rejected Okarun and Mantisian's offer to help her rebuild her house after it was destroyed by the Evil Eye. Seiko can also appear somewhat immature, such as when she joked that Momo was in love with Okarun because she shared a name with Ken Takakura, or when she asked her granddaughter to imitate Hiroshi Abe in exchange for a new school uniform. Despite this and her somewhat unrefined manner of speaking, Seiko can behave politely if she feels she has made a mistake that affects the well-being of others.

Despite being a grandmother, Seiko looks like a slender woman in the prime of her life. She has long, snow-white hair, usually styled in a high bun, and wears rectangular red glasses. She's a chain smoker and is almost always seen smoking. Besides her youthful appearance, Seiko is known for her beauty, to the point that some describe her as enchanting. Because of this, many have mistaken her for Momo's mother, which has led to surprise upon discovering her true relationship with the little girl. As for her height, she doesn't appear to be any taller than her granddaughter.

In public, Seiko wears an open yellow cardigan with large buttons that reveals her crisscross tank top, a blue baseball jacket with white sleeves and a symbol on the back, hoop earrings, and sandals. At home, she's seen in a white tank top, shorts, a beige haramaki, and light gray thigh-high arm warmers with matching stirrups.

Like Saint Dodoria, Seiko wears a mask, gloves with sharp fingertips, and a cape that covers her entire body, leaving only her large bun visible.

In the past, when Momo was a little girl, Seiko wore the respectful attire of a shrine priestess and wore her hair tied up in a normal ponytail.

She is a renowned spiritual medium who also goes by the name Saint Dodoria (ドドリア三太, Saint Dodoria) and is Momo Ayase's grandmother. In her role, Seiko provides support to Momo and her friends when they become involved with spirits, aliens, and other paranormal activities.

Okarun describes himself as socially awkward with an insatiable interest in the paranormal, primarily focusing on the existence of aliens and cryptids. This interest stems from his childhood, when he attempted to contact extraterrestrials in a desperate effort to make friends, as he grew up without any due to constant bullying. As a result, Okarun developed an inferiority complex, believing he is incapable of fitting in with others or that it's better for people not to associate with him. Even after befriending Momo Ayase, Okarun seems to retain a certain degree of low self-esteem. Following Jiji's return to Momo's life, Okarun felt he couldn't compete with him for friendship, based on how entertained Momo seemed around him, and even nearly ended their friendship so as not to be a burden. According to Momo, Okarun's real problem with making friends was that he was quick to jump to conclusions about whether others would judge him, which caused him to unconsciously keep others at a distance.

Okarun is an altruistic person who believes it's right to help others in need. A notable example is when he offered Mantisian his kintama to sell to raise funds for his son's blood transfusion. As a friend, he is extremely loyal and protective, and he won't allow anyone to get away with harming those he has formed a bond with, such as when he furiously attacked the Evil Eye for harming Momo and taking over Jiji's body.

Okarun is a short, slender teenager with brown hair (black in the anime), brown eyes, and round-framed glasses. Originally, Okarun had a bowl haircut, but he became unruly after his encounter with the Flatwoods Monster. Although initially very thin, Okarun has developed toned muscles thanks to his dedication to strength training and the numerous battles he has fought against spirits and aliens. While he is one of the few characters who can be seen wearing a variety of outfits, his most common attire is his school uniform, which is a typical gakuran suit.

He's a fan of the occult, primarily a believer in aliens and UFOs, who led an introverted school life until he met Momo Ayase. After a bet with her leads them to become friends—his kintama disappears after being cursed by Grandma Turbo—Okarun sets out to find what he's lost with the help of Momo and other allies, overcoming any paranormal obstacles in their path. Momo is portrayed as a bold, self-assured, and fierce young woman, rarely intimidated. She has a pragmatic attitude and tends to lose her temper when angered, especially when she is belittled or has to deal with the pranks of her friends and allies. She has a tendency to react violently, in a comical way, against those who provoke her; however, if she realizes her outbursts have gone too far, she shows remorse. She is also prone to insults, as demonstrated in her occasional arguments with Aira. At the same time, Momo is kind, friendly, and cheerful with others. Her genuine compassion and empathy make her the type of person who cannot ignore wrongdoing or turn her back on those in unfortunate situations, Okarun being a prime example. Although she didn't know him at the time, Momo decided to intervene and protect Okarun from some bullies who were harassing him, and was willing to help him break the Turbo Granny curse, as he didn't want to involve her in his problems. She also saw no reason not to become friends with him after the sudden events of their bet. When it comes to family and friends, Momo's fury can be directed at anyone who offends them, especially if they cause them harm. Upon hearing how Aira intentionally manipulated Okarun's feelings when they first met, Momo retaliated by using her powers to drop a container on Aira's head, in addition to making a sarcastic remark. Unlike her grandmother, Momo doesn't hesitate to ask her friends and allies for help. She can also lose trust in people if they are very dishonest with her. Momo can also feel empathy for her enemies if she discovers they have redeeming qualities hidden beneath their misdeeds or if a tragic past led them to be the way they are.

Momo is a teenage girl of average height with medium-length, reddish-brown hair that frames most of the right side of her face and crimson eyes. Okarun and some other male characters find her quite attractive. Although she can be seen wearing various outfits throughout the series, her most common attire is her school uniform: a white T-shirt under a light pink, long-sleeved sweater with a loose red ribbon, a pleated navy blue skirt, loose white socks, and brown loafers. Her overall outfit aligns with the kogal style worn by gyaru girls. She also wears green circular earrings and a black choker with a green circular detail on the back that matches her earrings—an accessory she always wears, regardless of her clothing choices.
