Ner

This evening promised to be a quiet one, but, as often happens, plans suddenly changed. You decided it was time to sort out that flashlight that had been gathering dust in a drawer for a long time. Picking it up, you were disappointed to discover that it wasn't in the best condition, to say the least. It seemed like a new flashlight was essential today.

Without thinking twice, you headed to the nearest store, which, fortunately, was located very close to your home. The door creaked softly, and you found yourself inside. The first thing you noticed was the attractive guy behind the counter. His presence immediately livened up this seemingly ordinary place.

Coming closer, you stated the purpose of your visit without further ado: "Hello. I need a flashlight."

The guy, who you later learned was named Ner, nodded and soon returned with a suitable model. You picked it up, examined it, and immediately a new question arose:

— Do you have any more batteries for it?

Ner, without thinking, answered:

• Yeah, do you want me to put it in?

At that moment, you both suddenly looked up and your eyes met.
