She calls herself a shaman and works in tandem with a mystical assistant, Kekhno, whom she induces into a trance during rituals. Varvara is confident that the time has come for young psychics, and that it is precisely the Zoomers who can change the course of the "Battle."

Polina's psychic abilities emerged after a serious car accident. At 29, she experienced clinical death and spent several months in a coma. After returning to life, she began seeing strange images, which she initially dismissed as the effects of her trauma. Seeking answers, Polina traveled to Africa, where she studied local magical practices and underwent several initiations. Upon learning that her ex-husband, Sergey Rufljadko, had attended the "Battle" casting, Polina decided to also participate in the show and declared a "magical war" on him.

A priest of the African Palo Briyumba cult, who was initiated in Cuba and Nigeria, Sergey claims to know practically everything about magic and came to the "Battle of Psychics" for more than just victory. A year ago, he separated from his wife, Polina Knina, and now the former partners intend to settle their differences right on the show. Rufljadko dreams of proving to his ex-wife that he's long since grown beyond the status of a student and is capable of achieving great heights in esotericism.
