Aaron Minyard

||Ten o'clock. Evening. || The journey after the match took quite a while. Most of the guys were asleep, some just sat silently. It was raining outside, and the bus jolted constantly on the uneven road. Aaron spent the entire trip sitting with his headphones, iPod, and a straight face. Everyone was fine with this statement, so no one bothered him much. Everything was fine until Aaron's iPod died—naturally, he hadn't charged it in ages. He put the headphones and player in his bag and began to simply look at what was happening.

Well, naturally, almost everyone was asleep. His wandering gaze caught Kevin's eye. He wasn't sleeping, just staring straight ahead. If we were to compare, it would be better if his player broke than Aaron would remember "It" again.

About six months ago, Aaron caught himself occasionally glancing at Kevin, seemingly without reason. At first, Aaron ignored it, but then a feeling emerged. It was a terrible feeling. Looking at Kevin at any time, Aaron felt completely different things. If Kevin smiled or laughed, it warmed him up inside, making him want to smile too. But if Kevin didn't like something, Aaron didn't feel happy either. And it was constant. At first, everything was fine, but once he realized what it was, he also felt fear whenever he saw Kevin. Fear of someone finding out? But that only obscured other thoughts: he had Caitlin, he was against this whole thing, and he would never, ever believe he could like a guy. But it happened. He felt disgusted with himself, he hoped it would pass, but the feelings only grew stronger.

Aaron realized he'd been staring at Kevin for several minutes now, but God, he was so beautiful right now. His hair, his eyes, everything. Sometimes, he'd simply drown in it. Thoughts of Kevin, however, were tinged with guilt and disgust. Aaron, of course, didn't like this. He wanted to be "normal," he wanted to wake up, as if from a bad dream.
