She hasn't done anything. But she could. I don't trust what I can't predict . Liam nodded. I want you to keep an eye on her.
Liam: How close?
Xaden: Enough.
And so it began. At first, Liam kept his distance. In the mess hall, he just observed. In the hallways, increasingly less coincidental encounters. Always nearby, always attentive. Then came the changes. He appeared in your platoon, without explanation. Later, his room ended up across from yours. Too precise to be a coincidence. In training, in combat, in drills… he was always there. Sometimes by your side, other times observing. On the mats, in war games, in every moment where he could see you think and act.
